A Phoenix housing search

How to use the Phoenix board without treating a classified ad as a lease.

CraneBoard Team · · Housing

Phoenix listings for housing, jobs, for sale, and services are on the Phoenix board. Start there if you want a place in the city, not a metro page that mixes other towns.

Same rental checks, local board

We are not quoting an Arizona landlord statute in this article. The practical checks come from the FTC's rental listing scams page, and they do not change at the state line.

Search the address and the name of the person or company. Look for a second ad that does not match. Visit before you pay. Walk away from a rush and from a demand to pay only by wire, gift card, or cryptocurrency. Hold back a Social Security number until you have agreed to rent. The longer checklist is How to avoid rental scams and A first apartment checklist.

Ask who pays power, water, and trash, and write the answer into your notes. Do not take that answer from a stranger's text if it disagrees with the lease.

After you move

Selling furniture you do not want to truck is a for-sale post on the same board. Meet in public. We did not verify a Phoenix police exchange-zone page for this guide, so call the department and ask before you assume a station lot is designated. The general habit is in Where to meet when you buy used.

Post a listing only for a unit you can show.
